| Introduction | Dave Autrey - I grew up reading hard-boiled detective stories, spy thrillers, many of the beat writers, as well as the usual classics and just about anything else I could get my hands on. During my non-fiction career, I have written, edited and published hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles and edited dozens of publications. Having written about public policy and official Washington for decades, could writing fiction be all that different? So, with honest constructive criticism, wise counsel and encouragement from my fellow writers, a new journey has begun. Joe Demasco - After more than three decades of teaching, working with, and writing about engineering and information technology, I decided to stimulate the right side of my brain and make stuff up for a change.
