| Introduction | Everyone always says do what you love and in return you’ll be happy. I began my 20’s studying criminal justice in college, thinking this would be the perfect path to law school. It didn’t happen. Once I graduated, I took some time to try and figure out what would really make me happy. I looked to my past to see what was the one consistent thing I loved to do. Ever since I can remember I have been drawing floor plans and filling them with furniture. I was choosing to do interior design at the age of 12 before I even knew what it was. How could this NOT be what I love?So I decided to take a shot at it for real. I attended the Art Institute of Chicago and graduated with an Interior Architecture degree. My first job was with Ralph Lauren Home and I loved it. The product, the people, and the company were all wonderful. I stayed for a few years before I got an itch to go out on my own. I started with a few small residential interior design projects and then it all very quickly started to grow.Now I own the best little home store in Chicago. Design Shoppe!
