| Introduction | I am a mathematics professor, now retired from teaching but still active in research. I have taught math professionally since entering graduate school in 1975. I have been married to my love, Jan, since 1976. We have (as of 2025) three children, a daughter-in-law, four grandchildren and two dogs. We migrate between Texas and Michigan, depending on the seasons. |
