| Introduction | I lived in Japan for roughly six years and Japan influences my hobbies, aesthetics and worldview. I am quite taken with the Heian Era of Japanese history and the tea ceremony. I am also, however, enamored with Regency, Victorian and Edwardian history and fashion and have learned how to make a perfect cuppa. My interests no doubt reflect my wish for more grace and refinement than is often found in our modern world. I love times and things that are elegant, formalized, and, let’s face it, highly romanticized. I also like Americana of course; the glamour of vintage American fashions and golden era Hollywood movies is as classy as anything. I love writing because it helps me to pin down my thoughts and emotions while I puzzle out the mysteries and miracles of life. I also enjoy reading -- anything really. |
