Introduction I laugh at awful stuff. I hate the city I live in, but am passionate about seeing Northeastern ohio succeed. I just wish our civic and industry leaders felt the same way. I notice random crap and try to write about it here.
Interests Aside from spoiling my son rotten, I am keenly interested in developing my mind both personally and professionally. Each day I try to observe something new and make mental notes. I am an avid reader, spend too much time on the internet, and obsess over style. My varied and assorted collections include sneakers, cufflinks, designer denim, hotel memorabilia, and photography of special event venues. I am a complete weirdo.
Favorite Movies The all time best use of celluloid is Walter Hill's 1979 Classic, "The Warriors". Of course I appreciate some of the obligatory classics: Goodfellas, Raging Bull, The Godfather I and II. I have tried and tried to appreciate Fellini-esque films, but always walk away missing something. A film like "Red Dawn" is easier to digest.
Favorite Music I've spent a lot of time trying to make people understand why Oasis is the greatest band on Earth. Artists like Ryan Adams and Pete Yorn satisfy by aging tastes. Sadly, I always have my extensive knowledge of Hip-Hop music from 1991 until 1999 to fill various voids. My new kick is orchestrated metal. Think Iron Maiden, Mastodon, etc. I've got a ton of "moody" favorites as well: My Morning Jacket, Morrissey, Pink Floyd. Chances are, if it is "new", I've already listened to it, made my remarks, and moved on...
Favorite Books A book that changed my approach to life was "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius. It is thousands of years old, but the overall scope holds true today. I read a lot of business books on Marketing, Management and FInance. I love random knowledge books like the Mental Floss and Schotts Almanac series. People describe me as an information junkie. To relax and laugh, David Sedaris, Chuck Klosterman and the creeps responsible for "Look at my Striped Shirt".

If you had the opportunity to make a twenty second phone call to yourself ten years in the past, what would you say?
