About me

Location Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States
Introduction Joel has always referred to us as teamgreene. When we bought a computer and needed to set up an email account, we used teamgreene. Now, teamgreene is much more. When Riley got sick back in March, I began documenting his journey. This was as much for me (and my terrible memory) as to inform family and friends of what was going on. I didn't know when setting up our carepage we would become known as teamgreene. Now we and all of those who follow Riley's carepage ARE teamgreene. We couldn't be more happy to have such a wonderful team! For those of you new to our blog, Riley is our 8 year old son who underwent a cord blood transplant 4/16/09. You can read about it by clicking on our carepage link. Prior to Riley's transplant, he was a healthy 6 year old, bright and full of energy. Although Riley was premature, (a whole other story) he was doing great. Until March 4 when he had a seizure that lead us to the ER. Riley's seizure was caused by low sodium, a symptom of adrenaleukodystrophy, or ALD. Riley was diagnosed with ALD 2 days later. So our journey at Duke began. We are starting this blog as a turning point in our journey, which we hope will take us back to Chattanooga soon.
