"we do not grow absolutely, chronologically. we grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. we grow partially. we are relative. we are mature in one realm, childish in another. the past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. we are made up of layers, cells, constellations."

Favorite Music i need sound. power pop, post punk, british invasion, garage, jazz, psychedelia, new wave, no wave, pre-1965 country & western, blues, baroque classical, ye-ye girls, northern soul, disco, funk, folk, MOR tunes from the radio of my youth {unleashing invasions of ear-worms}, tabla drums, gamelan, bhangra, tuvan throat singing, japanese koto, etc., etc., etc. {however, i must confess that i can't abide more than one-or-two notes of chinese opera} ;-> occasional: rap; metal; fusion (why oh, why, fusion?); new industrial. i'm still uncertain what "emo" truly is, or sounds like, but the label seems fairly arbitrary, from what i can gather. i adore, subsist on, and support public, college, and non-commercial radio. and make that "exclusively". EVER, always, period. gee, looks like i CAN stress that enough. my ever-so vivid images of hell includes being trapped in a room while piped-in Clear Channel programming plays. i'm made to sit by a devoted billboard hot 100 fan; who faintly warbles along and off-key, for all of eternity. video killed the radio star. rap and "the real world" killed the video star.

Come up with some possible band names for your group that features a washboard and a styrofoam tuba.

"The Frottoir Dow Honkers". if you think i can come up with another one, youre quite mistaken. i would have used 'polystyrene' in there, but of course, that's been long ago taken. ;->
