About me

Location Kansas, United States
Introduction Joelyn began sewing in grade school and enhanced her skills through the 4-H organization. As an adult she returned to 4-H to share her skills and passion with her daughter and others as a teacher. Over the years she has evolved from clothing to quilting and machine embroidery. Incorporating embroidery and decorative stitching into clothing and quilts has become her latest love. Joelyn has showcased a variety of small quilts and clothing at local venues. These pieces illustrate her passion for machine embroidery, attention to detail and creativity. Although patterns are an inspiration, seldom is one of her creations a carbon copy. Her quest for perfection usually requires her to tweak or add to the finished project to meet her own expectations. Joelyn has worked for Hallmark Cards for 36 years and currently is a senior inventory controller managing Christmas counter cards. Joelyn and her husband of 34 years have one daughter, Yvette a KU graduate, who is a graphic designer in Chicago. (Written by her biggest fan)
