Sponges and tongues are frequently misspelled. Is it because both are thirsty?
Natural sponges exist in an abundance of water, what do they know of thirst? Unless...maybe if they're averse to salt water. Artificial and synthetic sponges are instruments employed by humans. Tongues are more than human, yet human tongues are all we know so far. So, I guess the question is not so much if it's because they're thirsty, but rather what it is that they're thirsty for.
