Introduction	In my life, I've been a journalist, an educator, a mother, and a wife--now add potter. My parents drilled into my head that I must be practical and work hard, which led me to not tend the fire of creativity that has always been part of me. Practicality doesn't feed one's soul, but pottery does. I like to combine art and practicality in pieces I create.
Interests	Travel, cooking, writing, pottery, good conversation with a glass of good wine, friends, reading, gardening.
Favorite music	Anything but country.
