| Introduction | The greatest joy of travelling is exploring new places, wandering off towards an unknown horizon and be amazed with its peculiarity and uniqueness. However being physically present in each of those unique and bewildering landscapes is not the only way that we can travel and explore. I travel through my books. My travel books, brochures, and travelogues are my companions. I explore a country, its people and how they live, the songs they sing, the food they eat and the place they visit, through the large collection of 3800+ travel brochures, books and tourism literature. This also happens to be the national record for such type of collection. Acquiring this tourism literature was hobby that I have been nurturing since I was in class five, and even after 14 years of collecting these books which contain almost all the information about almost 195 countries of the world, I am still not done. It does not happen too often, when a hobby becomes a passion and the passion becomes the profession. I am one of those fortunate ones to turn my passion into my profession. |
