| Introduction | How many other accomplished women were there about whom we learned little or nothing at all? Women accomplished far more than we officially give them credit for. Their contributions are quite impressive, especially considering that they worked without societal support and often in spite of legal restrictions. We need to know what they did and how they did it so that we may learn from them and be inspired by them. We need this to be common knowledge. We can honor great women of today and yesterday, while shaping the leaders of tomorrow. |
