| Introduction | Tom Meek serves as the weekly "Cyberville" columnist for The Gainesville Voice, a publication of the New York Times Regional Newspaper Group. "Cyberville" covers issues pertinent to Computers, High-Tech, The Internet and New Media. Prior, Tom served as the Computer/High-Tech/Internet/New Media Columnist for The Gainesville Sun, Gainesville, Florida. For nearly seven years beginning in October, 2000, Tom authored in excess of 350 columns and articles published each Monday in the Sun's WorkLife section. Tom also contributes other feature stories for the Sun, and written hundreds of stories for television, magazines, Web sites and the Usenet, including technical writing made understandable for those less than expert in the given field.
