| Introduction | i like to eat. i like to make things. i like art. i used to make a lot of art, until i got indefinite artists block. i became bored. and hungry. i tried one of those recipe things i had heard so much about, and learned i MAKE things that i could EAT. easy as a paint-by-number. wow. i've been tinkering in the kitchen for a few years now, making a little bit of everything. by no means a culinary expert (I grew up believing chicken fingers & fries were a delicacy), i've learned a lot and have a lot more to learn. i love down-home dirty classics, but if they have a fun little twist added i'm straight smitten (mexican + eggroll? icecream + cupcake?! byaah yes please). i completely appreciate good fancy-pants food, but hate some of the trends & try =-to-hard aspects (veggie foam? GFYS. this beet trend? GFYS), and i ironically don't like beans. this blog is me keeping track of my culinary adventures - cooking, restauranting, noshing, and probably a lot of drinking in between ; ) readers should be warned i have a very strong penchant for burgers, cupcakes, and martinis, and if you don't agree... well for lack of a better term GFYS! |
