| Introduction | I teach and learn Language Arts with my amazing seventh grade students at Rosa International Baccalaureate Middle School in Cherry Hill, N.J. I traveled to Uganda on a grant from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation to research a book, meet a young woman (Agnes N.) my students and I are sponsoring through an organization called Mtaala Foundaion, and complete community service. I am, most importantly, mother and friend to two wonderful girls, and wife and friend to my soulmate. |
