Introduction	A national award-winning dancer – scholar, specializing in the field Sattriya Dance with premium solo concerts across several nations and various prestigious forums in India, Anwesa received accolades for her unique interpretations of the Sattriya Dance keeping intact the core philosophy of the form and its ritualistic practice. A recipient of CWIT Fellowship, British Council, her multiple scholarly publications embrace various aspects of tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Assam with coveted fellowships from Sangeet Natak Akademi and Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. A prominent disciple of Bayanachrya Ghanakanta Bora, Padmashri, she is an empanelled artist of the ICCR and also winner of several prestigious awards like Sangeet Natak Akademi Yuva Puraskar, Aditya Vikram Birla Kalakiran Award, Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Yuva Samman, to name a few. She is the Artistic Director of Kalpa and has contributed towards promotion of international understanding and social harmony through promotion of arts. The New York Times, India West, The Hindu and other national and international media commented her work as “impressive”, “thrilling” and “superb” to mention a few.
