| Introduction | Millions of people have done it, but it's new every time. Regardless of who or what we were earlier in our lives, we all begin parenting as neophytes. I'm not the first person to have two kids, but I am the first person to have these two kids, and this is the first time that I have had two kids. And you are the first person to have your kids, and each day in our lives brings experiences we have never had to deal with before. I'm a writer living in northern New England with my Jewish-not-Jewish-Caucasian-Korean-professional-stay-at-home-mom-formed-by-adoption-and-biology family. I've got a husband, a seven-year-old son, a three-year-old daughter and a cat, and these are my musings about life and parenting. |
