Introduction I am a Jewellery Designer/ Goldsmith with 12 years experience in the Trade. I Graduated from the Jewellery Art and Design program at Vancouver Vocational College in 1995 and was hired by one of the instructors. At first I ran errands, injected waxes and cleaned castings, but as time went on I moved my way up to Head Goldsmith. Everytime someone left, my boss Jon would say "well, we will let you do the job until we find a new Goldsmith", and everytime I made sure there was no reason to advertise for someone new! I worked at Elanda Goldsmiths for 8.5 years and finished my Apprenticeship there. The 'little company the could' was bought by Birks, and after less than a year I moved to Casanova Jewellers, it was an opportunity to learn from a European trained Goldsmith and increase my skill level. I was there 2 years before I was head hunted and returned to Birks in my Boss' job where I stayed for another 2 years. I started my own little company in fall of 2007 and while sometimes it is difficult I have found it very rewarding. I like the intimacy of working one on one with the customer to create a piece, no middle man, no sales clerk to interfere. Call me at 604-839-3636.
