| Introduction | Allan MacKenzie is the Project Manager with the Purdy Crawford Chair in Aboriginal Business Studies. Allan is currently working on two very interesting projects. Firstly, a provincial business mentorship project, the Business Network for Aboriginal Youth, which has been established to attract more Aboriginal high school students in Nova Scotia to the study of business at university. Secondly, a national project, which revolves around the organization of four roundtable discussions: three regional student roundtables highlighting Canada’s leading Aboriginal business students, and one national roundtable focusing on the best practices in Aboriginal economic development. Allan earned his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in 2004 and his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2005, both from Cape Breton University. In addition, he earned a Bachelor of Education Degree from Mount Saint Vincent University in 2007, and is currently working on a Master of Education from Saint Francis Xavier University. He has four years experience teaching junior high and high school, as well as three years experience working in program administration for both the federal and provincial governments. |
