| Introduction | While I am not what I would consider an “experienced” horseperson, I am slowly beginning to develop resilient opinions on the horse industry. These opinions of mine are not imbedded in one subject alone, but in many subjects surrounding the horse world: western, English, halter, etc. Just about anything and everything I can find reading materials or valid internet sources on is fair game to my critical mind. I try not to be biased and to simply look at the hard evidence, but sometimes I unconsciously lean one way or the other and I welcome being called out on it. Hopefully this blog does not only hold my own opinion, but the opinions of others soon. I hope we can come together as a big horse family from different walks of life to educate each other. Although, I *do* welcome to others opinions, I *do not* welcome opinions that do not at least have some sort of ground in scientific fact and that are instead based in greed and appearance. I would like to reiterate that I am *not* a professional, but a student of the horses ways and am looking to start educational conversations and debates, because to me, the best way to learn is from each other. |
