| Introduction | Hey there! In case you haven't caught on yet, I am a photographer. I took my first 35mm photo in 1982 (see profile pic), and have learned from a mix of both formal education and self-teaching, mostly the latter. While I do all sorts of photography, I enjoy taking photos of the natural world the most, so that is what you will be seeing the most of here on the photoblog.(Update 2023: I wrote most of the above in 2005. Since then, age and physical issues have led me to explore less physically challenging photo opportunities, and so I have been increasingly including architectural work, primarily abandoned buildings, in the mix as well.)
