| Introduction | The unimaginable happened in Sydenham on the evening of May 31st 2014, when the intervention of a fight turned deadly. As reported by the London Evening Standard; http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/sydenhammurderfightwellsparkroad9467420.html Hunter was stabbed as he jumped in to defend the 17 year old being stabbed. One said: "James was passing and these boys were fighting. He said they should take their fight elsewhere when he was attacked. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time." Being the kindhearted person he was, James did not stop to think of the consequences of his actions. He did what came naturally to him, and paid the ultimate price. His selflessness has inspired his mother to set up 'James Ross Hunter Youth Support providing advice for youths in the Sydenham community in need of guidance.
