| Introduction | Hands-on experience has been a constant throughout Dr. Seth A. Eidemiller’s life. Growing up on a fourth-generation dairy farm in Idaho, he became accustomed to hard work, problem-solving, and adaptability—which would later support his transition into emergency medicine. Before stepping into healthcare, he worked as a wildland firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service and gained practical skills in construction, mastering carpentry, electrical systems, and residential buildings. These early roles taught him to perform well under pressure and adapt to changing environments. Academically, Dr. Eidemiller pursued his undergraduate education at the University of Idaho, earning dual bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Spanish. Drawn to medicine, he returned to Boise to complete the required science coursework at Boise State University. He focused on chemistry, biology, and anatomy as a lab instructor and manager. His passion for research led him to contribute to biomedical research for three years, where he worked on systems biology and human health projects. |
