Introduction	On the brink of the empty nest, as motherhood often does, I find myself in a new stage of life. In this unfamiliar territory, I explore each day with the same uncertainty that over came me as a new mom holding my new born baby. I'll never forget leaving the hospital after my first child was born and thinking, "Am I allowed to just leave with her like this?" At the other end of that childhood, I often find myself thinking of that same girl, "Is she allowed to just leave like that?" These are my stories of parenting teens and lessons I am learning about letting go.
