| Introduction | Born in Hawaii, I was raised partly in California and on Guam. I lived in New York City after graduating high school and worked in the garment industry for some years. That was an unforgettable experience. Moved back to California where I began raising a family. I eventually became a single parent in 1998, raising two of my three daughters alone. I worked in education as an instructional associate for years, following my girls through school and working around their schedules. I eventually went back to school in 2001 to complete my own education, working and going to school at the same time. (Took my daughters for a memorable visit to New York in 2005.) It has been like a whirlwind, but I finally achieved my B. A. in Liberal Studies, my teaching credential, and my Master of Education. I taught fifth grade for two years, and now it's off to another adventure! Two of my daughters and I are now on Guam. I miss My oldest, Aurora, and her new family, so we will have to make time for travel...Yes? |
