So she graduated from Rutgers with a degree in theater arts and became an actress/waitress, actress/rock singer, actress/editorial assistant, actress/PR-pro. Then she began writing for children and found that she enjoyed putting words in characters mouths even more than pretending to be a character. Today, Judy lives in Randolph, New Jersey with her husband John, sons Ryan and Kevin, and Sally the beagle. Judy is the one who walks the dog.
