| Introduction | SARAH LEAMY is a writer, traveler, visual artist, clown, stilt-walker, photographer and performance artist. Raised in small town in Worcestershire, England, her family took her traveling across Europe whenever possible. This interest in travel continued as she left home, studied, and then started exploring, performing and writing her way across Europe, Guatemala and the States. She studied at the San Francisco Clown Conservatory in 2007. Sarah graduated from the London University with a degree in European languages and Social Geography. She studied documentary photography at the Pimlico Media Centre in London. She has published articles online, in England, and in the States, including Wisconsin, North Carolina and New Mexico. Sarah wrote, performed, and produced her own solo shows Undercurrents, Telling Tales and Dirty Laundry, in New Mexico, with themes ranging from gender roles, immigration, travel, sexuality and community. She teaches, performs, writes and works as stage manager/house manager in both the San Francisco Bay Area’s performance studios and in New Mexico. Sarah continues to explore developing community through creativity. |
