Introduction In 1995, through a colleague in the Army, I learned about stock trading. I was then an accounting student but my accounting knowledge has no use in investment; I'm just another punter. In 1997, I incurred significant losses due to the Asia Financial Crisis. All Asia stock markets melt down and all punters/investors knelt down. In 1998, then Malaysia PM denounced trading of Malaysian companies in CLOB. I suffered another big losses. In early 1999, stock started to recover and consequently, many players re-enter the scene. This soon escalated into a small bull run which became obvious in around mid-1999. My broker was so busy that my call would not get through. In early Jul 1999, within 3 days of severe correction, most people returned all their profit to the market plus personal savings. And then we have dot.com burst in 2000 and followed by 911 attack a year later. One of my colleagues asked me "after all this trouble, have you make money from the stock market? How much?" I couldn't really answer that question. In 2002, I picked up my first book on investment "The Essay of Warren Buffet", the rest is history.
