You're not my real mum and you never will be...

Introduction	Was I naive? In hindsight, yes I was. I met a widowed man and became an instant mum to two girls 5 and 8 years. That was five years ago and we have come a long way. We have moved cities, made a new life and now have a son in the family. To be honest it's been a white knuckle ride at times - a relationship roller coaster. During a particularly fraught episode recently I received a text which read 'you're not my real mum and you never will be' - it didn't bother me too much as I expected it to happen one day with a teenager but it made me think and became the inspiration for writing this blog.
