| Introduction | Why weekend cooking? Well it’s on weekends I do some real cooking, recipes worth sharing. Needless to say home food is ultimate mood lifter but it also requires a lot of work and therefore weekends are the perfect time to take it slow, savour and indulge. As obvious as it can get, my Indianess manifests itself in my love for curry, curries from all over the country but a less spicy version. I am from the eastern state of Orissa and curries I ate in my growing up years were rarely available outside the state so no point in lamenting about their absence outside the country. A good home cooked meal is an antidote for homesickness and during such hours of sickness I found refuge in my kitchen sometimes in mid of the week.
