| Introduction | I was born in South Africa and I am an African in heart. I grew up in a good family with three brothers and great parents. My parents came from Germany and Holland and settled in South Africa in the 70's. Our home town is Edenvale, a quiet suburb on the Eastern side of Johannesburg. I love South Africa and recommend you visit it if you can. I followed my father in his trade and qualified as an electrical engineer several years back. Art, music and media is another passion that I haven't pursued with nearly as much energy as the engineering but is still srong within me. I'm grateful that I didn't grow up 'religious' with a view of God from man's perspective. I did grow up believing there is so much more than meets the eye, and that this creation around me belongs to One much greater than I could ever imagine. I think I've found that One pursuing me with an unimaginable love and grace and a realness that makes a mockery of our own attempts to be like Him. He put His Spirit inside me and draws me to follow Him as one in awe of the great Northern Lights. My life is hidden in Christ, far away from the ways of men, seated safely with Him in great places. This is my story. |
