Introduction	Hello, I'm Lauren, a writer in Toronto. My debut novel Where We Have to Go (M&S) was a finalist for the City of Toronto Book Award, translated into German and Dutch, called “a very strong original debut” by the Globe and Mail. It was published in the US in 2012. In 2009, I was named “Best Emerging Author” by NOW magazine. My poetry, fiction, and non-fiction has appeared in publications including Exile, NOW, The Globe and Mail, Taddle Creek, and ELLE CANADA. I'm a graduate of The University of Toronto MA in Creative Writing, where I was mentored by Margaret Atwood.
