| Introduction | Welcome to my BeaufyLife blog. So what's 'Beaufy' you may ask, well to satisfy your possible curiosity 'Beaufy' is actually one of my three and a half year old sons' malapropisms, along with 'hankichoofy', He says it when he wants to say something's beautiful. 'Mummy your hair looks very 'beaufy' today', So that's what inspired my blog name. It's probably safe to say that I have had an eating and weight problem since the age of seventeen. I think the idea of going out into the big wide world after school was a fearful prospect and because I'd always enjoyed 'sweeties', teamed with my anxiety, this was a recipe for comfort eating and weight gain. For nearly thirty years I've been battling with this, diet after diet but have never stuck to them. I think the reason for this is that in the past, it has just been to lose weight, whereas now it is about my health and recognising that my system is not coping as well any more with all the junk I put into myself. So I decided to do this project and also to do a blog, as an incentive and basically to record my progress on this journey. Wish me luck! |
