| Introduction | My best friend, Tommy, died unexpectedly on Aug. 9, 2010. At the time of his death, I was miserable at my job, so I decided to turn in my resignation to concentrate on and finish grad school. Before I resigned from RTI, I was tutoring an ESL student two times a week. I'm thrilled to say that I've gone from tutoring 1 ESL student to 7 ESL students in just 2 months! I am truly blessed! After resigning, I also made the decision to apply for an internship with The Humanity Exchange. I was accepted within 24 hours and am fulfilling my dream of traveling to Africa. I cannot tell you how excited I am! I will be in Cameroon for 6 weeks and then going to meet my friend, Alex, in Dakar, Senegal for a week. Follow your dreams folks because life's just too short to be miserable! |
