Introduction	I've spent the last two and a half years living in and enjoying the small town of West Chester, PA. Ironically, however, it was not until I recently moved out of town that I realized that I had never fully taken advantage of all West Chester. Now, I'm hoping to revisit the small shops and boutiques that I had taken for granted to attempt to understand how these independently owned stores thrive. By comparing my small town shopping experiences to what I encountered at larger, corporate "super-stores," I hope to explore the pros and cons of both types of shopping.
