| Introduction | My name is Marguerite Lawler-Rohner and I am the CEMS art teacher. My education includes a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design, and an MFA from City University of New York. Visual literacy is our first language and it needs to be cultivated and nurtured in all learners. As a teacher and an artist, my goal is for all of my students to understand that the art processes they learn in the classroom are the same practices artists have used since the beginning of time. I want my students to embrace the visual arts with enthusiasm and fearlessness.
