Introduction	Making art makes me happy. Mostly, I love painting chubby little birds but I also love taking photos of flowers. The world is full of beauty and my hope is to capture and share at least some of it here. If you wonder how the name of my blog came about, there is a story behind it: I am a glass half empty kind of girl, you see. I always anticipate when something 'bad' is going to happen. I will warn people but people don't always listen. A friend came over to scrapbook one day. We both had a cup of coffee to drink and when I noticed that there was a fly in the house I told my friend to put a piece of paper over her cup while we ate our lunch. She asked 'Why?" and I told her about the fly and that the fly might land in her coffee but she blew me off. After lunch, when we went back to the study, she went to drink out of her cup and guess what was in her cup?? I had left mine covered, you see. That year, for my birthday, she painted a piece of wood as a gift with the quote: "The fly might land in your coffee." When I started my blog, I could not think of a name and so I named it 'fly in the coffee'.
