Comenius Project 2011-13: Finland - Cyprus - Slovakia - Germany

About me

Introduction	Our Comenius project is based on the notion that our daily routine is closely related to weather conditions and climate change. Through certain projects all four partner schools (Cyprus, Slovakia, Germany, Finland) it will contribute to knowing and getting closer to different cultures, customs and habits that coexist in the EU. During the first year we will get to know each country's weather conditions and how these affect our daily habits and activities. The second year we will examine the consequences of climate change. We will examine issues concerning the use of waste and energy and change the existing habits in order to raise environmental consciousness. All the above will be implemented through project meetings, use of media, ICT and environmental campaigns. Our main final products will include a journal of reflection about participants' experiences, a picture book, informative leaflets, campaign posters, handcrafts, eco song and a DVD with participants' products. All participants will benefit through becoming active citizens and develop competencies in thinking and taking actions regarding environmental issues both locally and globally.
