Introduction Having grown up in Montreal, Dr. Pouchet attended McGill University to complete her BSc and dental degree. After completing a one year dental internship at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, she went on to specialize in Periodontics at the University of Toronto. She became a part time clinical instructor in the undergraduate periodontal department at the University of Toronto for the next 13 years while maintaining her private speciality practice. She has completed numerous advanced hands on surgical courses including a program of advanced surgical techniques in the Oral Reconstruction Unit at the University of Toronto. As a member of many organizations, she continues to increase her knowledge base in orthodontics, sleep medicine, TMJ and craniofcial pain. Her background includes a diploma from the Southern University of California in Pain Management as well as a sleep mini residency diploma from Tuft's University in Boston. She is also an editor and writer for the TMD Diary. She has started a successful study club for dental hygienists in British Columbia and is often asked to speak at many dental meetings.
