Introduction	Glenn Dorfman founded Common Sense Solutions in 2008. The company provides comprehensive research, strategic planning, and political consulting on climate change issues, including global warming and economic impacts. It also assists clients in macro private and public financing. Dorfman was chief lobbyist and chief executive for the 25,000-member Minnesota Association of REALTORS® from 1983 to 2007. He has served on the board of directors for the Citizen’s League and the Minnesota Taxpayer’s Association. In 2007, Governor Pawlenty appointed Dorfman one of his five representatives on the State Budget Task Force, whose job it is to make recommendations to the Legislature in early 2009 on how to help stabilize Minnesota’s budget cycles. In 2002, the Governor named him to the State Advisory Committee on K-12 Student Evaluation. Dorfman has master’s degrees in English and public policy and administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. His numerous awards and honors include the coveted Bush Leadership Fellowship and the 21st Century Leadership Award from Minnesota Legal Aid.
