Lionesses have no manes. How do they know when they've grown up?
I imagine that lionesses, being such beautiful creatures, know when they've grown up by when they look at their reflections in a beautiful African body of water. I imagine that they see the strong, lithe body that they have grown into, the beautiful, golden-brown eyes they have, and their own lovely faces and stealthy gaits...and they just know. Makes me proud to be a Leo.
