| Introduction | I'm a writer, curator, scholar and harper living in Galway, Ireland. I'm also a mum, feminist, Gaeilgeoir and complete chocoholic! I'm honoured to be the Meskell UL-Fifty Poet in Residence. I've published three poetry collections: Conditional Perfect (Doire Press, 2019), In Between Angels and Animals (Arlen House, 2013) and No Vague Utopia (Ainnir Publishing, 2003). Between 2017 and 2019, I was Director of Galway's annual Cuirt International Festival of Literature. I was a selected reader for Poetry Ireland's 'Introductions' series in 2004 and appointed Curator of the Patrick Kavanagh Centenary that year. A former member of the Belfast Harp Orchestra, I recorded on a number of albums (including the Grammy award-winning 'Tribute to the Celtic Harp' with 'The Chieftains' and 'Maidens of the Celtic Harp' (Sugo Music). I'm a qualified teacher of the harp who performs nationally and internationally. In 2008, I earned my PhD in English publish widely on literature, Irish music and cultural history.
