| Introduction | A self-proclaimed "foodie" am I, as well as a newly published cookbook author of "Bobbie's Organic Planet: How To Buy Local and Eat Global". My life seems to revolve around food. I believe that we can all pay a part in helping to save ourselves and our planet by eating responsibly and respecting the well fare of our planet and animals. Organic food has never been a fad for me, it has been a way of life. Also, eating locally-grown and in-season food is not only more economical but also helps to cut down on our carbon footprint, as well as supports farmers who work so hard to feed us. A drive to a local farm or farm market is always an experience. Or, joining a CSA and collecting a surprise package filled with seasonal produce and fruit to help you create excellent tasting meals. This is who I am and what I will be writing about on my blog, along with occasional recipes to incite people to cook, as well as my adventures to farms around my local area and wherever I travel to! |
