Introduction Josh Larson, 30, now calls Denver, CO his home. He has a B.A. in English from Williams College (Williamstown, MA), and has been involved in weather and climate for over 15 years. He worked for 2 years as a climate analyst at NOAA's Climate Prediction Center where he researched and forecast climate variability. He is the lead author of "Characteristics of Landfalling Tropical Cyclones in the United States and Mexico: Climatology and Interannual Variablity" published in the Journal of Climate. Before his stint at CPC, Josh interned at the National Weather Service (NWS) headquarters in Silver Spring, MD, and spent four summers as an intern at the National Center for Environmental Prediction. Finally, Josh was a writer and co-producer for The Washington Post's "Capital Weather Gang" from 2003 to 2010. He describes himself as "completely obsessed with snow," even going so far as to write his college entrance essay about it. Of all things, Josh is now pursuing a career in Clinical Counseling.
