| Introduction | This is the story of me, Sa, who on my 42nd birthday received my first white coat at Saint George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, started medical school and pledged to become a physician. It is about what it is like to tear up your life and leave again and again to pursue a dream. It’s the story of a woman who often thinks, “what would Buffy do?” . I am a yoga loving, dog loving, beautiful, former chef, former sales person, former tutor and current immunology – o – phile who tries to love the intertwining snail track of life and how it all connects. It is a plate o’ shrimp – or shrimp plate--- and its my life. |
