| Introduction | My credentials: I'm currently a PhD candidate at the University of Washington. What that means is that I'm in my fourth year of graduate school and that once my committee thinks I've learned and done enough, I can graduate, at which point I'll have my PhD. Why I started this blog: I've always loved science and wanted to be a marine biologist, a geologist, a chemist, and a biologist (in that order!) through middle and high school. Biology won, but I'm still interested in other areas of science. I'm not quite sure exactly what to do once I finish graduate school, but I'd love to have a career where I can be a voice between scientists and the public. I'm hoping that I'll get some practice by writing this blog. That said, please comment on what I post. Let me know what you think! |
