Introduction I enjoy cooking, gardening, running, golf, yoga, writing books, visiting museums, doting on my cats, teaching travel and culinary classes, dinner parties with friends and family, exploring new places, and daydreaming.
Interests Cooking, travel, wine, cats, architecture, anything French, secluded beaches, creative people, roadtrips, sushi, Frank Lloyd Wright, pearls, horse racing, homemade pasta, fishing villages, sculpture, Scotland, mid-century Modern, historical novels, oysters, farmer's markets, herbs, roses, Andy Warhol, medieval history, boats, personal growth.
Favorite Movies Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, A Christmas Story, Romantic comedies, good-bad movies (ie. Talladega Nights), wry and/or Britsh humour and the occasional intense drama (Atonement, English Patient). Appreciate movies with interesting camera work, innovative graphics and beautiful cinematography. Good dialogue- a must!
Favorite Music Anything that pleases my ears, but I particularly love big band, swing, gypsy jazz & old standards, Andrew's Sisters, Mill's Brothers, Blossom Dearie, Ella Fitz, Django Reinhardt - and just about any Happy Cha Cha music. ELVIS. ELVIS. ELVIS. Totally dig Christmas tunes. Some classical too. Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Dave Matthews, David Gray, Michael Buble, Hot Club of Cowtown, The Randys, Jack Johnson, Snow Patrol, and Jimmy Buffet (especially when it's cold out). Pink Martini, would be my house band if I owned a restaurant.
Favorite Books I'm a little biased toward my own books: the Insiders' Guide to Columbus, It Happened on Cape Cod and Discover Cape Cod. Favs: Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, Ken Follet, Bernard Cornwell, Elizabeth Peters, Agatha Christie, Rex Stout, Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Henry Miller, Anais Nin, Anne Rice, Harry Potter series. Dan Brown's Da Vinici Code and subsequent books. I draw inspiration from various genres, but particularly historical fictions, epic adventures and mysteries. Currently on a Rex Stout & Agatha Christie oddessy and am not opposed to a good bodice ripper, as long as it has a good plot.
