Introduction	I started climbing the Munros pretty much by accident in 1971. Almost from the beginning I kept a journal recording what I did, who I went with and what happened to us. This is that journal, suitably edited and compressed. I've tried to avoid the temptation to be wise after the event, and if you find any of it naive or annoying I'm not surprised. To avoid compromising the innocent and guilty alike, some names have been changed. I'll try and publish an entry once every week or so. Earliest entries are at the bottom of the list.
