| Introduction | I was born in Flanders, Belgium. I did my undergraduate studies in South Africa, MA in Belgium, doctoral studies again in South Africa. I first came to Taiwan as part of a teacher exchange program between Leuven and Feng Chia university and have been teaching in the English department at I-Shou University near Kaohsiung since 1999. My passions include learning languages, teaching, linguistics, biking, hiking, Nordic walking, photography and reading. This blog has partly come about from passion, partly from frustration (as a linguist) with people’s neglect of their mother tongue. |
