| Introduction | I am Mary Crook Moran, a plein air artist from Naples, FL, who would rather be painting outside on the beach or a street corner than inside my studio. My painting career began 30 years at the local art fairs when I sold naïve paintings and prints. Today I paint in an impressionistic style and sell my original oil paintings through my own gallery. I will be showing these original paintings on this blog. My business is co-owner of Dennison-Moran Gallery on 5th Avenue S. in downtown Naples. For over ten years we have been selling the Dennisons’ jewelry, my paintings, and the original work of 150 other creative American artists and craftspeople. I love the Naples beach, the water and our tropical weather. One of my favorite things is an early morning walk, splashing in the surf and gathering shells. However, most mornings I am speed walking a four-mile route in Old Naples. My other interest is listening to and playing music, especially Bluegrass. I am the mother of three Florida natives who have grown up and produced six talented grandchildren who paint with me when they visit. |
